At Juels’ Limited we have always attempted to produce a fine collection of silver for our window displays. We feel small silver object d’art accentuate our fine diamonds, alongside our antique, art deco and period jewellery. Our Grade II listed, curved window frontage at our London Street store has significant historical importance and we use it to showcase our everexpanding silver collection. Being staunch traditionalists with a long military background, silverware has always been at the forefront of our interests and our window display is approached in the same manner. We have accumulated some fine silver objects and desirable one-off silver display and presentation pieces for our collection. Some of the most notable items are our fine silver Warwick vase, our gilt sturgeon caviar dish, the extra-large matched pair of silver pheasants’ and the gilded Norfolk Cup.
We are presently in the process of attempting to restore some fine equestrian silver trophies from a bygone age that we have recently purchased. We are anticipating great results from the Birmingham silversmith who is restoring these items; they include a large, fully-hallmarked silver trophy for Hyperion, the world-famous race horse whose statue stands in Newmarket.
There is also an antique gold gilt trophy for the winner of the Royal Ascot Gold Cup that stands on an ebony plinth encrusted in 18ct gold royal cartouche and lettering. We are also in the process of adding another guineas trophy from Newmarket, with the winner being ridden by the legendary jockey Lester Piggott.
Juels’ Limited is in the design stage of acquiring our own racing colours to represent the company. Hopefully, and with some good fortune, the syndicate may have a significant victory with the winner carrying our colours past the winning post. It is intended that a set of these racing colours will eventually act as the backdrop for our silver horse racing collection for our London Street shop.
We are always on the lookout to purchase all silver items including unique one-off items to tableware and flatware, centre pieces and more desirable items are always a joy to view and evaluate. For a free current market valuation please call into the shop at any time during our opening hours, 9am until 4.30pm Tuesday to Saturday.
