Russian Emerald and Diamond Dress Ring

A very fine example of a sophisticated emerald and diamond dress ring. The ring contains 0.80cts of Russian emeralds originating from the Siberian deposit mine located in Malysheva forming part of the remote Ural Mountains. The mine was originally names as the Mariinskoje Mine, in honour of Maria, the daughter of the last emperor Tsar Nicholas II. It was later renamed Malysheva in 1926 to honour the revolutionary hero, Ivan Mikhailovich Malyshev. These fabulous emeralds equal the finest Coscuez emeralds found in Colombia. They possess great colour saturation of a crème de menthe depth, the ring also contains 1.9ct of fine diamonds all set in 950 platinum.
